Computing

Online code minifier: JavaScript, CSS, HTML and JSON.

Reduce code size without uploading it. Select a format, paste your source and compare sizes before copying or downloading the result.

Use a file of up to 500 KB.

Processing runs locally in a worker. Your code is not executed, uploaded or saved in browser storage. The limit is 500 KB per operation.

What does minification do?

Minification reduces unnecessary whitespace, line breaks and comments. JavaScript and CSS use dedicated parsers; JSON is parsed and serialized without indentation. For HTML, spacing between inline elements and the contents of pre and textarea are preserved. Embedded scripts and styles are not minified in this mode.

Usage example

Input / configuration
{ "name": "Ernani", "active": true }
Illustrative result
{"name":"Ernani","active":true}

Minification questions

Is minification the same as Gzip or Brotli?

No. Minification changes the code representation; Gzip and Brotli compress transfers. They are complementary steps. This tool reports UTF-8 sizes before network compression.

Can I minify PHP, TypeScript or JSX?

The tool accepts standard JavaScript, CSS, HTML and JSON. Compile TypeScript and JSX first. Do not paste PHP as HTML: server-side language blocks are not supported.

Is the result always smaller?

No. Already minified code may stay the same size or grow slightly. Review the result and test your project before replacing the original. JSON numbers and strings retain their original representation.

Examples and practical checks

Test before replacing a file

Keep the original, select the language and minify a copy. Run your project tests with the generated file before publishing. Minification reduces a file; it does not protect secrets or replace HTTP compression.

Licenses and JavaScript modules

Preserve license comments when a dependency requires them. Enable module mode only for code that will load as a module; if parsing fails, check the selected language and input syntax.
