Yoodli: AI for rehearsing conversations and presentations

Yoodli creates conversation simulations and offers feedback to practice communication. See how it could help prepare presentations and training.

You prepare a presentation, review the topics, and feel that everything is ready. Until someone asks a question that is not in the script. Rehearsing this kind of conversation can be just as useful as organizing the slides.

Yoodli offers AI simulations for practicing communication. The company presents applications in team training, sales, and developing skills for professional situations. Meet Yoodli.

How does the rehearsal work?

On the Yoodli roleplay platform, you can work with scenarios and characters that respond during the conversation. The dialogue can include questions and objections, allowing you to practice different paths.

The tool also offers feedback on aspects such as clarity, pace, and communication effectiveness. In training contexts, the evaluation criteria can be adapted to what the team wants to practice.

The idea is to create a space where you can try, receive observations, and repeat the exercise with an adjustment in mind.

A very everyday example

Imagine you need to present a proposal to a client. In an illustrative scenario, the exercise could involve explaining the idea and answering a question about a deadline or priority.

In the first round, you might notice that you spent too much time explaining the context and left the main point until the end. In the next, you could start with the proposal and leave room for questions.

This example shows one way to use feedback: choose a concrete change and observe how it alters your explanation. There is no need to try to fix everything at once.

What makes the approach interesting?

I like the possibility of practicing an interactive situation. A conversation calls for attention to what the other person says, and responses do not always follow the order we imagine.

Having a scenario available to repeat can help you explore different approaches. For a team, it also provides a way to discuss which behaviors matter in that training: listening to the question, answering directly, or explaining a decision more clearly.

The simulation's result needs to be interpreted within this context. An automated evaluation offers clues for the exercise; the quality of communication should also be observed in real situations.

How would I start?

I would choose a specific conversation I wanted to prepare for and define a simple goal. For example: present the main idea clearly or answer a question without losing the thread.

Then I would make a few attempts and compare the changes I noticed. I would also take what I learned into a rehearsal with another person, when possible, to observe different reactions.

Yoodli closes this sequence of promising AI tools with an approach close to everyday life: using technology to create more opportunities to practice how we converse, explain, and present our ideas.
